Comedy Heroes at The Central

Comedy Heroes saw a strong start in 2011, with great acts and large audiences packing out the Blue-room in The Central on the first Thursday of the month.

October saw Comedy Heroes come to life with a great lineup of the best North East talent, closed by the 'legendary in his own mind' George Zach. After the successful first night November carried on showcasing the finest the North East has to offer with 'I don't just do flags' Lee Kyle closing what was a packed room of over 60 people.

With Graham Oakes Mcing the first night and Sean Turner taking the helm on the second, the December Christmas show was run by Howard Lee and saw rise to 'the human Christmas tree' and possibly the most manic mince pie eating competition the world has ever seen. The night was closed by Andy Fury who some festive merrymakers in the audience took a (incomprehensible) shine to.

Comedy Heroes is coming back with big things in store for 2012. You can join us on the first Thursday of every month in The Central in Gateshead, right next to the Tyne Bridge.
